Accessibility Statement
Accessibility is the work I do for a living, so this site has to hold itself to the standard I help clients reach. This statement explains how Inner Spark Media approaches accessibility, where the site stands today, and how to reach me if anything gets in your way.
Our commitment
Inner Spark Media is committed to making innersparkmedia.com usable for everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse. We design and build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we adopt WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria as pages move forward.
Conformance status
WCAG defines three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA. innersparkmedia.com conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are not aware of any outstanding accessibility barriers on the site. Where we find content that falls short, we treat it as a defect and fix it on a priority basis rather than waiting for a release cycle.
We do not claim conformance we have not verified. A current VPAT / Accessibility Conformance Report for this site, generated from a real audit, is available on request.
Measures in place
- Semantic HTML5 with ARIA landmark regions (banner, navigation, main, contentinfo)
- A logical, uninterrupted heading hierarchy on every page
- A “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users
- Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- Text and interface contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA (4.5:1 text; 3:1 large text and UI components)
- Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Form fields with programmatic labels, required and invalid states, and errors announced through live regions
- The
prefers-reduced-motionsetting respected in both CSS and JavaScript - A responsive layout that reflows on small screens and stays usable at 200% zoom
Compatibility
This site is built for current versions of the major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) on desktop and mobile. It is tested with the VoiceOver screen reader on macOS and iOS, and is designed to be compatible with NVDA and JAWS on Windows. It is not designed for browsers more than two major versions old.
Technical specifications
Accessibility on this site relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. Core content and navigation remain available if JavaScript is unavailable.
How we assess this site
Inner Spark Media evaluates accessibility three ways whenever the site changes meaningfully:
- Automated auditing with AccessSpark, our own WCAG auditing platform, which renders each page in a real browser and runs axe-core plus custom checks for keyboard traps, focus visibility, reflow, and contrast.
- Manual review against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria that automation cannot fully verify.
- Assistive-technology testing, navigating real user flows by keyboard with a screen reader.
Known limitations
The contact form is delivered through HubSpot, a third-party service whose embedded markup can change outside our control. We test it on each release and provide email as an equivalent way to reach us (below). If you encounter any barrier, please tell us. We treat reported barriers as defects to fix.
Found a barrier?
If anything on this site is difficult or impossible to use, I want to hear about it. Email support@innersparkmedia.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. I respond within 2 business days and will provide what you need in an accessible alternative format if that helps.
AccessSpark
AccessSpark, our web accessibility auditing platform, is built to these same standards and maintains its own accessibility statement at accessspark.io.
This statement applies to innersparkmedia.com. Prepared April 2026; last reviewed June 2026. It is reviewed whenever the site changes substantially, and at least annually.
